Marika Textiles Combines Craftsmanship and Service for Vishwakarma Jayanti

Vishwakarma Puja is a significant celebration dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and engineer of the universe. On this auspicious day, people offer prayers for their tools, machinery, and instruments. Marika Textiles embraced this occasion by honouring the spirit of craftsmanship through a heartfelt puja ceremony at their manufacturing unit. Employees from all levels came together to pay homage to their skills and the tools that enable their artistry.

This year, Marika Textiles elevated the celebration by integrating community service initiatives in partnership with the Babla Burman Memorial Trust (BBMT). The company distributed essential items, such as quilts and clothing, to underprivileged families, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility. Marika Textiles emphasized that the celebration of Vishwakarma Puja is not only about honouring their craft but also about giving back to the community, ensuring that the benefits of their success extend to those in need.

Celebrating Vishwakarma Jayanti

Vishwakarma Jayanti, celebrated in honour of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect, is a day to recognize craftsmanship and the importance of tools and technology in our lives. For Marika Textiles, this occasion is deeply meaningful, as it resonates with the brand's focus on design, quality, and creativity. But beyond the spiritual and traditional significance, this year’s event also emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to CSR, by focusing on providing essential clothing to children and individuals in need.

Key Moments from the Vishwakarma Jayanti Celebration

1. Traditional Puja Ceremony

The event began with a heartfelt puja dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma. Tools and machines used in the company's processes, laptops, machines and tools, were adorned with flowers and offered to the deity, symbolizing gratitude for the role they play in the growth of the company. The ceremony included prayers for prosperity and safety for the business and its employees.

2. Distribution of Clothing and food to Needy Children

As part of Marika Textiles' CSR initiative, the company organized a special clothing distribution drive and food distribution. Quality garments, by Marika Textiles, were donated to underprivileged children through BBMT. This thoughtful gesture provided warmth and dignity to many, reinforcing the company's belief that every child deserves comfortable clothing and a brighter future.

3. Collaborating with BBMT

Partnering with the Babla Burman Memorial Trust (BBMT), Marika Textiles extended its efforts to support local communities. By working with BBMT, Marika Textiles ensures that a portion of its profits and resources go toward providing not only clothing but also essentials like food to families in need. This long-term partnership allows the company to contribute meaningfully to society, far beyond Vishwakarma Jayanti.

4. Artistic Decor and Cultural Unity

The celebration was adorned with artistic decorations, including traditional fabrics and patterns that reflect the brand's heritage. Employees took part in the event, enjoying a sense of unity and community as they celebrated their shared values of craftsmanship, tradition, and giving back.

5. Visarjan Ceremony

The celebration concluded with a Visarjan ceremony, where the idol of Lord Vishwakarma was respectfully immersed in water, signifying the end of the celebrations and the beginning of a new year filled with creativity and productivity. The ritual marked a fitting end to the day, with employees feeling inspired and connected to their work.

Marika Textiles’ Corporate Social Responsibility

Giving back to the community is an important part of Marika Textiles' brand culture. In addition to celebrating festivals and cultural events, the company is deeply committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), with a special emphasis on donating garments to those in need. Marika Textiles donates a portion of its profits to charitable organizations through its collaboration with BBMT. This year's focus was on clothing contributions, ensuring that impoverished children and families received high-quality items made by the company. These donations assist those in need to keep their dignity, warmth, and comfort, and they reflect Marika Textiles' view that fashion and utility should be available to everybody.
